Eye wrinkles (Crow's Feet) FAQs
- Botox – Smooth out wrinkles caused by repetitive muscle contractions that happen when you make facial expressions
- Chemical peels – Can help to soften the appearance of crow’s feet but higher strength peels can not be used directly under the eyes
- Dermal fillers – Use hyaluronic acid to plump out very deep wrinkles
- Laser resurfacing – Stimulates your bodies natural collagen production to resurface and smooth the area while simultaneously tightening the skin
- Cosmeceutical skincare – At home skin solutions such as Radara and cosmeceutical grade eye creams can help to reduce the appearance of relaxed lines/wrinkles
Wrinkles appear around your eyes naturally as you age due to facial movements such as smiling and laughing. As you age you make less collagen and elastin which can lead to hooded eyelids and ultimately make you look older than you are. This can be exacerbated with unhealthy life choices that can contribute to premature ageing.
You may first notice crow’s feet when you’re in your late 20s to early 30s. Depending on your skin care routine, genetics and lifestyle you may not see them until you’re in your 40s. Prevention such as using daily SPF and high quality eye creams are key to slowing the development of crow’s feet and other fine lines.
Static wrinkles may worsen with muscle contraction (such as when you smile), but they are visible even when the face is at rest. Treatment options are available no matter which type of crow’s feet you have, we would recommend booking a consultation where you can have a full skin analysis to determine the best treatment option for your specific goals, budget and lifestyle.

NO! Vaseline is just used to lock in moisture, it will not treat eye wrinkles. With continued use it can lead to a build up of vaseline being collected in sacks under the skin which would then need to be surgically removed. We would never advise anyone to apply vaseline around their eyes or onto their skin.
