eTwo Sublative Fractional Resurfacing

eTwo Sublative is the innovative way to resurface the skin using fractionated Radio-frequency. It smooths out wrinkles and crepey skin on the face, eyes and body while the heat element creates a tightening effect. It is safe for all skin types with minimal risk or downtime.

What is Sublative skin rejuvination?

Sublative is a skin rejuvenation treatment that uses fractional resurfacing technology designed to dramatically improve the quality, appearance and texture of ageing skin, acne scarring, open pores and stretch marks without a needle or a knife.

About the treatment

Sublative skin rejuvination uses fractional bi-polar Radio Frequency to penetrate the deep layers of the skin creating dermal heating to stimulate collagen. Unlike many other similar treatments such as Fraxel or CO2 that are more aggressive the RF energy is delivered to the skin using Sublative technology which precisely directs RF energy into the skin.

Why come to us for eTwo Sublative Treatments?

At Authentic Aesthetics, we understand that our clients seek results-driven treatments without prolonged downtime, allowing them to seamlessly integrate their skincare into their busy lives. That’s why we’ve chosen eTwo Sublative as our premier skin rejuvenation system.

Unlike some laser-based resurfacing treatments, eTwo Sublative is safe for all skin types. Its innovative fractional Radio-frequency technology minimizes damage to the epidermis (surface layer of skin), while delivering concentrated heat energy to the dermal layer where collagen production is stimulated, ensuring optimal results with minimal downtime.

Our treatment is swift and versatile, targeting multiple concerns such as deep lines, wrinkles, uneven skin texture, and crepey skin on the face, neck, eyes, and body areas. Clients typically experience a mild, warm sensation during the treatment, akin to a hot flick. To enhance comfort, we go the extra mile by applying numbing cream post-treatment.

For best results, we recommend a course of 3 treatments. To make our treatments more accessible, we offer course packages that include complimentary treatments, along with interest-free payment plans to help spread the cost.

Yes, after a course of treatments clients report up to a 70% reduction in scarring and wrinkles as well as overall skin rejuvenation, skin tightening and evening of the skin tone.

Fractional resurfacing can have additional benefits to microneedling due to the heating stimulated in the skin as part of the process. This additional heat can be more beneficial for older skins as we get more of a tightening effect. We would also recommend sublative over microneedling for stretch marks, older scars and deeper acne scars. Fractional resurfacing is also more painful than microneedling however and can incur a couple of days more downtime so if downtime is an issue or you do not have a high pain threshold the microneedling may be the better option for you.

Sublative uses the power of fractionated bi-polar radiofrequency (also known as gentle energy currents) to deeply penetrate the skin and stimulate collagen production beneath the surface, while keeping the outer layer of skin intact.

Due to the time it takes for new collagen to synthesis within the skin the end result is visible 8 weeks following your course of 3 treatments.

Straight after the treatment your skin will be very red and hot (looks like sunburn). The redness will continue for the next 48 hours, make up can be applied to cover this. After 24-48 hours small dots will be visible on the skin where the skin has been cauterised, these will harden up and fall off in the next 5-7 days. For total skin healing we advise to allow 1 week following the treatment. Treatment around the eyes may also incur some swelling for 24-48 hours following the treatment.

You must avoid putting any additional heat into the skin so avoid exercise, saunas, steam rooms and hot baths for a minimum of 48 hours following the treatment. It’s important to keep the skin hydrated so use a hydrating/soothing cream following the treatment. The application of SPF is mandatory for a minimum of a week following the treatment, you must avoid any direct sunlight.

Most clients will find their results last 12-18 months following the treatment, at this point normal ageing and collagen degradation will start to take place again so to maintain results a top up treatment is recommended once every 6-12 months or a course of 3 can be carried out once a year for the best long term results.

After a course of 3 treatments our goal is to get a 70% reduction in wrinkle depth and acne scars. Skin texture and tone will be greatly improved. For old scars and stretch marks an additional course of 3 treatments may be required to achieve the best results.

Use hydrating/soothing skincare advised by your practitioner, do not use occlusive products such as sudocrem or vaseline as these can create a barrier to the skin and cause adverse reactions. Avoid getting any additional heat into the skin.

It is not a painless treatment, numbing cream will be applied prior to the treatment to help reduce discomfort but due to the laser working within the skin it cannot be made completely painless. The sensation feels like a hot elastic band being flicked onto the skin. There is quite a lot of heat build up after the treatment however this can be managed with fans and a cold compress. The treatment does not take very long to perform and most clients find that they can tolerate it but if you have an extremely low pain threshold then microneedling may be a better option for you as this treatment is almost completely painless with the application of numbing cream.

A course of 3 treatments is recommended but each individual case is different and you may require up to 6 treatments to achieve the full effect.

Yes, it is very safe when you are under the guidance of an Aesthetician and you stick to the aftercare and continual care advice that is given.

Yes, but we have to keep the settings very low due to the risk of developing post inflammatory hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation following the treatment. Daily SPF application and avoiding sun exposure are essential following this treatment to prevent this from happening. Due to the pigmentation risks we tend to recommend microneedling as a safer alternative for darker skin colours.
