introduction

What is Hydrafacial?

The internationally renowned, award winning skin health treatment. HydraFacial is a multi step facial that effectively extracts congestion, softens fine lines, smooths and deeply hydrates the skin with instant results visible and long term benefits, suitable for all skin types with no pain and no downtime.

About the Treatment

The HydraFacial uses a patented exfoliating tip paired with suction to remove dead skin cells from the surface of your face. After the skin is exfoliated, a light peel is applied to soften the pores followed by an extraction stage to safely and effectively remove blackheads and congestion. Key skin health ingredients such as Hyaluorinc acid, Antioxidants and Peptides are then infused into the skin to deeply nourish and hydrate, resulting in a satisfying ‘deep cleaned’ feeling. The skin is left instantly clear and glowing with no downtime, so you can have the treatment and get on with your day.

Who will benefit from HydraFacial?

The amazing thing about HydraFacial is that everyone will benefit from having healthier skin! HydraFacial can be tailored to treat specific skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, wrinkles etc. but is also perfect for anyone that wants to deep clean their skin and have it nourished and hydrated. It is a completely non-invasive treatment so is safe for all skin colours, skin types and genders. Even the most sensitive skins will find that they can tolerate the treatment

5/5

I have been having facials since my early twenties and therefore have had lots of different experiences. Without a doubt the therapists, Zoe and Amanda whom I have seen are the best in the business. They are so knowledgeable about skin and which treatments and products suit my skin the best. I always walk out feeling much more confident about my skin. I would highly recommend, particularly to anyone slightly apprehensive that they will be pushed into buying products that they don’t need. There’s no hard sell here, only therapists who are passionate to give one the best service.

Zoe, Carla and Amanda are great skincare specialists. Carla was very understanding of my skincare issues during my consultation and provided me with treatment & product recommendations. I had my first treatment with Amanda and she was incredibly kind and reassuring, which was good for my nerves. It’s great to know that you can message Zoe through their instagram page and she will come back to you so quickly with advice. I’m looking forward to more of their help throughout my skincare journey.

Hydrafacial FAQs

Here are some frequently asked questions regarding Hydrafacial Treatments

Hydrafacial is a deeply exfoliating and hydrating medical grade facial designed to treat any and all skin conditions and improve overall skin health.

Up to 4 weeks following your treatment.

Our most popular treatment is the skin health for life HydraFacial which is a 6 step treatment involving;

  • Removes toxins using lymphatic drainage
  • Deep cleanses and exfoliates dead skin cells
  • A peel is used containing glycolic and salicylic to decongest and soften the pores
  • Extractions remove impurities from the skin
  • Antioxidant, hyaluronic acid and peptides are infused into the skin to deeply nourish and hydrate
  • LED light therapy is used to calm the skin, stimulate collagen and kill bacteria

Hydrafacial works within the living layer of the skin so you will see long term changes, facials will only treat the surface dead skin cells so won’t see long term benefits or changes to the skin.

Yes! In fact it is one of the top rated treatments on real self, 98% of people who have it done say that it’s worth it. The best thing about HydraFacial is that any skin type and skin colour can have it done and see real changes in their skin. It also involves no pain and minimal to no downtime, it’s no wonder why it’s our most popular treatment in the clinic.

Hydrafacial will benefit everyone but is not recommended if you are currently pregnant and have not had the treatment done before, if you are going through any active cancer treatment, if you have extremely thin skin, if you are using any steroid cream in the treatment area or if you are anaphylactically allergic to shellfish, honey or aspirin.

  • Don’t use acids for up to 4 days following the treatment
  • Don’t wear make up for 24 hours following the treatment
  • Don’t swim, use saunas or do excessive exercise for 24 hours following the treatment
  • Don’t use high level retinol for 4 days before or after the treatment
  • Do use a cosmeceutical skincare range alongside the treatments for best results
  • Do encourage any flaking to come away from the skin with an exfoliator after the treatment
  • Don’t be tempted to apply moisturiser to flaking skin following the treatment as this will stick the dead skin cells back down and slow down skin renewal
  • Do use SPF everyday to prevent future skin damage

Hydrafacial contains peptides which are the proteins that make up collagen (needed to keep skin strong and reduce wrinkle depth). Hyaluronic acid is also infused into the skin to deeply hydrate and plump it out. By having a HydraFacial done monthly as advised, your skin cycles are manually renewed every month like they do when your skin is much younger, so it gets the skin to work in a way that it did when it was younger.

After the treatment it is possible to experience some mild flaking / peeling from the acids used and some may experience a mild purge of spots. This is a normal response to the treatment and is usually over one week after your treatment which is when you really start to see the long term benefits.

You will experience some mild stinging/ tingling as well as the feeling of exfoliation, but the treatment is very comfortable and many of our clients find it relaxing.

Straight after the treatment your skin will be instantly glowing and feeling deep cleaned. Most people see even more improved results 1-2 weeks after the treatment however it actually carries on working in the skin for up to 1 month following the treatment.

For more long term results on skin conditions such as acne or rosacea 3-6 monthly treatments are needed to see the full effects of regular treatment.

Many of our clients continue to have it done monthly year after year however and find their results last longer with every treatment.

Every 4 weeks for the optimum skin health results.

Yes, because we properly prepare the pores by softening them at the peel stage extractions are easy! We use a combination of machine based extraction using the purging technology with manual extraction to clear large stubborn blackheads. Skin is left smooth and decongested.

Yes, preferably 24 hours after but it can be applied the same day if you are having it done for an event.

Avoid acids and retinoids for a minimum of 24 hours prior to treatment.

Your skin may be a bit pink following the treatment due the stimulation, this normally subsides within 30 minutes. Overall your skin will feel deep cleaned and will be left looking extremely glowy.

There are more suited treatments for active acne (lots of white heads), if it’s under control then HydraFacial is a beneficial treatment.
