Obagi Blue Radiance Peel

A chemical peel is a non-invasive way to improve the appearance of your skin. It works by using a chemical solution to smooth the texture of your skin by removing the damaged surface layers.

What is an Obagi Blue Radiance Peel?

The Obagi blue radiance peel is a superficial salicylic acid-based peel containing 20% salicylic acid, 2% glycolic acid and 2% lactic acid. It exfoliates the skin and aids in drying out active acne, reducing the appearance of superficial pigmentation and improving the overall complexion..

About the treatment

The Obagi Blue Radiance Peel is used to treat active acne, mild photoaging, fine lines and wrinkles, blemishes and uneven skin tone and texture. Immediately after the treatment, the skin will feel a little warm from the stimulation of the acids. This eases off after a few minutes.

Around 3 days after the peel, mild to moderate flaking can be expected and can last up to 7 days. The amount of peeling varies from person to person and some may not notice any visible peeling if their skin is already well exfoliated prior to the treatment.

From 1 treatment no. The peel is fantastic for drying out active acne and reducing inflammation as it works by exfoliating and removing the outer layers of dead skin cells and prevents pores from being clogged. This in turn reduces the formation of pimples, in order to combat acne you must have a regimented skin care routine at home alongside having the peel treatment and a course of 3 peels performed 2-3 weeks apart is required for the optimum results.

Obagi peels are recommended as a course of 3, performed 2 to 3 weeks apart.
